diy faq

Here we have gathered answers to frequently asked questions regarding our DIY floral offerings. For general FAQ, please refer to our FAQ Page.

Can I order only a few stems?
Unfortunately not! Our DIY orders are priced in farmer’s bunches, and you will be receiving each bloom in bulk. Under each category there is an approximation of how many stems are included in each bunch. We do not have an option to order only a few stems of one flower.

How do I know what flowers I will get?

As we work with only local, field grown flowers, we are not able to guarantee specific blooms. We will work to provide the best in season options based on the information we receive on your intake form. You will receive the total contents of your order, in the palette and style you have selected. If you are curious which flowers are in season at the time of your event, you can refer to our Bloom Calendar.

What if I don’t know how many flowers I need?
We have put together this helpful guide to offer an approximation for ordering:

Can I adjust my order after it has been confirmed?
The deadline for adjustments on your order is 2 weeks before your scheduled pick up/delivery date.

Can I speak with someone for help/advice when placing my order?

Unfortunately we’re not able to offer consultations with this package. Once your order is confirmed, we will follow up within a few business days to confirm your details and answer any questions you may have.

What if I don’t like some of the flowers I have received?
Since we work solely with locally farm grown flowers, we’re not able to make any guarantees. We will make every effort to ensure your flowers suit your needs, but we are working within the limitations of what nature can provide. When filling out your intake form please ensure to detail which flowers you don’t like, so we can avoid including them in your bundle. We do not offer exchanges or refunds.

Am I eligible for a refund if my flowers don’t last?
Short answer, no. We do not offer any refunds. Our farmers grow their flowers as naturally and organically as possible, using no chemicals or preservatives in the growing process. This means that some flowers will last 3-4 days while others may last over a week. The lifespan of a cut flower varies by flower type, growing conditions, and cutting time, among many other factors. For our DIY flower orders we are focussed on choosing the longest lasting blooms that are easiest to work with. Knowing how to care for your flowers is essential to their longevity. We have put together a guide to processing your flowers properly, which we recommend following closely:

Do you have any tips for someone new to designing?
Absolutely! The most important reminder when setting out to work with flowers is that you can’t undo a cut - before snipping a stem, ensure you know the length you need. You can always cut a stem shorter, but you can’t make it longer. Be true to your own taste and style - experiment and have fun with the process. Try out unexpected placements, but be sure when finalizing the placement that the stem is properly submerged in water. Below is a short tutorial to get you started. Have fun!
